Volunteer Spotlight – Audrey Carrión and Frank McNeil named committee co-chairs of LGBTQ Fund at BCF

Audrey Carrión and Frank McNeil have been selected as volunteer co-chairs of the advisory committee for the LGBTQ Fund at BCF, which will be a source of funding for life-sustaining and life-affirming supports for Baltimore’s diverse LGBTQ community, particularly vulnerable young people. 

Carrión and McNeil are instrumental in guiding the committee, which will develop grant guidelines and review applications for funding.

Audrey Carrión has been an Associate Judge of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City since 1999. Judge Carrión served as the Judge in Charge of the Family Division – Domestic from 2003 until 2009. Prior to sitting on the bench of the Circuit Court of Baltimore City, she was an Associate Judge of the District Court of Maryland. 

She is a BCF trustee; a member of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association; and a member of the Advisory Board for the School of Arts, Sciences, and Business at Notre Dame of Maryland University. She is the recipient of numerous professional and service awards, including the Women’s Law Center’s Rosalyn B. Bell Award.

Franklin N. McNeil Jr.  is a Community Consultant with the Greater Maryland Community Development Banking Team at PNC. A U.S. Naval Academy graduate and former U.S. Marine, Mr. McNeil worked for the Baltimore branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond for 16 years before joining PNC. In his current role, he focuses on outreach, education, and engagement in the communities served by PNC. 

He is also a very active community servant, serving in board/volunteer roles with nonprofit organizations that provide health and human services or other related services to the low- and moderate-income populations. Recently, he was recognized as Community Leader of the Year by the Maryland LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
