Keisha A. Leverette named interim director of development and donor services at BCF
April 26, 2017
The Baltimore Community Foundation recently named Keisha Leverette interim director of development and donor services. In this role, she will oversee all aspects of development and donor stewardship.
Leverette joined BCF in 2013 as a donor services officer and in 2015 became the director of Campaign for BCF and Baltimore, the most successful fundraising campaign in the organization's 44-year history. The three-year effort raised $103.7 million, generating more than $30 million to support immediate needs and almost $70 million in endowment for long term goals in Baltimore. Following her work on the campaign, she was named Director of Major Gifts.
Leverette is a Baltimore native who holds a bachelor’s degree from Spelman College. Before joining BCF she was a major gifts officer at the NAACP.
Leverette succeeds Ralph Serpe, who served as BCF’s Vice President, Philanthropy and Chief Development Officer for seven years.
“We’re so happy to have Keisha lead our development and donor services team during this transition,” said BCF President & CEO Tom Wilcox. “Keisha’s attention to detail and emphasis on systematizing our development process was instrumental in helping us raise over $103 million for BCF and Baltimore. Her unique perspective on fundraising and deep knowledge of Baltimore has been vital to our work making the region a better place. I have no doubt that she will bring those skills to bear as we move into the next chapter of BCF’s story in Baltimore.”
Donors with questions about any aspect of giving should continue to contact BCF at 410-332-4171 or by email at email@example.com.
