Support Hurricane Matthew relief efforts through a local community foundation
October 12, 2016
Hurricane Matthew made landfall along the southern part of the East Coast last weekend, and storm water continues to flood coastal communities. There are many people now trying to rebuild their homes, businesses and lives, and they need assistance.
Community foundations have long been involved in disaster relief efforts. The staff and donors of community foundations know their cities, neighborhoods, and regions, and they can direct resources to the right responders quickly and efficiently.
If you want to give to support relief efforts along the southern East Coast, we at BCF encourage you to visit the the Community Foundation Locator. There you can locate a regionally-based community foundation that is supporting the affected regions.
