Baltimore Community Foundation selects Patti Chandler as Vice President, Finance and Administration

Chandler has breadth of experience in technology, finance, accounting, and non-profit work

(Baltimore, 10/29/15) - Patti Chandler has been named vice president, finance and administration at the Baltimore Community Foundation, where she will oversee the organization’s financial operations, human resources, administration and information technology.

Chandler brings with her a wealth of experience in technology, finance and accounting, and a deep familiarity with the non-profit sector. She is a certified public accountant (CPA), Certified Information Technology Professional and Certified Computing Professional, and holds a master’s degree in business administration. She most recently served as chief financial officer for Beth Tfiloh where she led finance, technology, human resources/personnel and facilities, and managed a $20 million annual operating budget and a $100 million balance sheet.

“We are extremely pleased to have Ms. Chandler join the staff at the Baltimore Community Foundation,” said Tom Wilcox, BCF president & CEO. “She brings BCF a skill set that blends private sector experience and non-profit know-how that will allow BCF to continue improving its systems efficiency in grantmaking, gift processing and administration.”

She began her career working at the accounting firm KPMG, and later led the computer consulting division of C. W. Amos & Company. She was also chief financial officer at Arundel Community Development Services, and she ran her own consulting company serving non-profit organizations and municipal clients at each stage of systems implementation.

In addition to her responsibilities managing BCF’s financial and administrative teams, Chandler will work closely with Amy Seto, BCF’s chief operating officer, to ensure sustainable growth of the organization.

“The Baltimore Community Foundation is a strong philanthropic partner in Baltimore with a documented track record of financial accountability,” said Chandler. “Throughout my career I’ve worked in non-profit organizations that give back to their communities, and I feel privileged to have the chance to continue in the non-profit field as a member of this team.”

The Baltimore Community Foundation is a private philanthropic organization created by Baltimoreans to serve the current and future needs of the Baltimore region. Representing the common interests of a diverse pool of donors who care about Baltimore, BCF uses grants, initiatives and advocacy to address issues facing the region today, while building a civic endowment to address the needs of future generations. BCF also offers donors customized support for their individual philanthropic goals, expert assistance in learning more about the causes they care about, and the opportunity to join others with similar interests to learn and give together.
