This scholarship was established by Legg Mason Global Asset Management to provide two full tuition scholarships for eligible Baltimore City public high school graduates who wish to pursue their education at a four-year public institution in the state of Maryland. Eligibility requirements include the completion of at least 75 hours of community service during high school and a mandatory essay that explains why you are ready for college. Students who maintain a 2.5 GPA as they work toward a college certificate or degree may receive up to $80,000 ($20,000 annually) of tuition, room and board.
