James Shea, chair of Venable, the University System of Maryland Board of Regents and the Central Maryland Transportation Alliance and Frank Rosenberg, board co-chair and executive vice president at Rosemore, Inc. weigh in on the importance of transit improvements in Baltimore. These three Baltimore community leaders all agree that improving the transit system is key to Baltimore’s future and that it must begin with support for the long-planned Red Line.
Improvements like the weekend service for the MARC in 2013 which already boasts a large ridership, was advocated for by the Central Maryland Transportation Alliance , an initiative of the Baltimore Community Foundation), clearly shows that Baltimore residents are supportive of improved transit.
