Baltimore better than the city portrayed in national media

A letter to The Boston Globe from BCF President and CEO Tom Wilcox responds to an article published in that paper, arguing that the "article on poverty in Baltimore painted an incomplete picture of the city."
Citing improvements in educational outcomes and reductions in violent crime, the letter reminds readers that Baltimore is "a thriving city with enormous energy and promise, and a city working tirelessly to give new hope to all of its residents."
