One Boston Fund accepts donations to help those affected by tragedy

April 23, 2013

The tragedy at the Boston Marathon shocked us all.

At the Baltimore Community Foundation, our thoughts and prayers are with the community of Boston – the victims, their families, and all those the violence affected.

We saw terror, confusion and outrage in the news coverage of the bombings, but we also saw something else: heroic first responders rushing toward danger to help injured strangers.

You can help, too.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Menino started the One Fund Boston to support victims, their families, and the community.

“We are one Boston. We are one community. As always, we will come together to help those most in need.  And in the end, we will all be better for it,” said Mayor Menino.
