The grant programs listed are open to requests for funding except where noted. We also offer scholarships for students.

Note: Beginning in 2012 we will focus on education and neighborhoods; information for applicants is being developed. Subscribe to our Timely Topics e-news to be among the first to know when we announce new grant guidelines.

Much of the funding distributed by BCF each year comes from donor-advised funds at the recommendation of the fund advisor. Most donor-advised funds are not open to requests for funding.

GRANT PROGRAMS
1 William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund
Grants from the William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund will increase access to cultural opportunities, enrich the lives of metropolitan residents and support civic engagement through the arts.
18 BWGC – Baltimore Women's Giving Circle
The Baltimore Women's Giving Circle engages its members in collective learning and giving, with a goal of improving life for disadvantaged women and their families in the greater Baltimore area.
2 Eddie C. and C Sylvia Brown Family Foundation
Focuses its grantmaking in three general areas: the arts, education, and health (HIV/AIDS and cancer).
16 Children's Fresh Air Society Fund
Funding for camperships that give disadvantaged and disabled Metropolitan Baltimore children the benefits of a summer camp experience.
3 Ensign C. Markland Kelly People's Emergency Fund
Funds projects that provide emergency aid to individuals in the Baltimore region.
8 Middle Grades Partnership
Please note: This program does not accept applications for funding.
5 Neighborhood Grants Program - Leadership
Funds projects that build new leadership or strengthen existing leadership within neighborhoods.
6 Neighborhood Grants Program - Mobilization
Funds projects that mobilize residents to complete a community project.
4 Leonard & Helen R. Stulman Charitable Foundation
Supports programs in mental health, aging, health, and higher education.
7 Youth As Resources
Funds youth-led community organizing projects.

Dreams do come true: Our Playground at Stadium Place, rebuilt by determined volunteers and generous donors after the original was destroyed by arson. The work was supported by a fund at BCF. 

BCF’s efforts through the Diversity Path will work to rebuild Baltimore’s black middle class.
